Meet Glen, Tracy, Owen and their ‘Backyard Rink‘…they are my inspiration for my Winter Portrait special. Outdoor, Winter Portraits you say!! most would cringe at the thought of that. True enough, this is not likely for the family with a newborn, or maybe not even the small children who have yet to appreciate the process of bundling up to go out and play…but, perfect for the family that enjoys yet another outdoor adventure , the ski bunnies, the young skating stars, the dye hards who hit the toboggan hills no matter what the weather man says, and even our Engaged couples. It was perfect for Tracy, Glen and Owen with their backyard rink, and who wanted something different from previous years studio portraits we had done. When they asked me if I thought their backyard rink would make a good backdrop for their family session this year, without hesitation, I said ‘Yes!’ I could see it clear as day, what a great session this would be. And it was…the rink was extraordinary, the day, a perfect sunny Snow Day, ready to seal the memories of this years family portrait…A Big Hug & Thank you Tracy,Glen & Owen !! xo
There IS magic in the little things…they counted their sleeps, and came dressed in their Christmas Best…here is a handful of magical moments from this years Santa Sessions. Thank you to all who participated this year. So much fun to see many wee ones another year older, and truly nice to make so many new friends. …. you didn’t necessarily co-operate as far as the weather goes with your Rain or Shine attitude any given hour, of any given day…but, I know you are sorry for the stress you caused my amazing families this year, as they axiously watched out their windows, dressed their children, then undressed them in disappointment, then excitedly re-dressed them as the skies cleared and rushed out their doors, to meet me!! However, I do want to Thank you for minimal re-scheduling, and making it all possible when needed…the fresh smell of the woods, the brilliant colors drapped high in the trees, the re-newed sense of yet another season upon us…Don’t worry October, there is nothing quite like You, You are unique in your ways. I am grateful for the beauty you bring, but a little less atttitude next year please!! You are still my favorite month & I WILL meet you again…until next year…XOXO T.
